Project Precious Trash participating with Patrizia Coggiolas lecture “Meaningfully dressed” at Biologiska Museet / Biologiska museets Vänner.
“Meaningfully Dressed” will be a talk dedicated to the relationship with clothing and dress patterns, in history and in different social and cultural contest, tracing some of the influences that the natural world has played on human behaviors. Seeking possible clues for a new, thoughtful understanding of the fashion object, for sustainable future sake. This will lead me to the presentation of the work of an extraordinary Swedish artist Johanna Törnqvist, which is turning our leftover materials into fashionable clothes and art pieces, in a quest for new valuable meanings. She will be presenting her work, with two pieces exhibited and the projection of her Project Precious Trash movie.
